JAPAN HOUSE Touring Exhibition Project selected for Term Ⅱ

For the Phase 2 of the Touring Exhibition to be presented at JAPAN HOUSE Los Angeles, London and Sao Paulo, the below-mentioned project has been selected by an outside panel among 20 project applications submitted during the period between August and November 2017. The selected project will begin its exhibition tour at JAPAN HOUSE Los Angeles from January 23 (Wed) to March 28 (Thu) 2019. It will then travel to London and Sao Paulo.

Manga is not just for children, but is an art which combines graphics and stories that can be enjoyed among all generation.

Naoki Urasawa goes well beyond the boundary of manga targeted for young audience and continues to create “mangas for all generations”. His themes cover a wide range of topics including sports, science fiction and history. His works are loved by readers worldwide.

Featuring Urasawa’s works, this exhibition aims to provide a place for visitors to experience not only the artistic and comical aspects of manga, which the Louvre Museum has labeled as the “9th Art”, but the essence of daily Japanese life that can be found within this art form.
