Junji Tanigawa

Born in 1965, Junji Tanigawa is a self-styled “Space composer”, who set up the space creation company JTQ in 2002. Based on the theme of “communication of messages using space as a medium,” he provides creative oversight for exhibitions, installations and commercial space developments from the dual perspective of design and functionality. His major projects include: Kansei – Japan Design Exhibition at Les Arts Decoratifs, Musee du Louvre (2008), Heijyo Capital Relocation 1300th Anniversary Yakushiji Hikari Emaki (2010), GOOD DESIGN EXHIBITION (2012-2014), and MEDIA AMBITION TOKYO (2013-2016). In 2013 he published a book of his works titled Junji Tanigawa, The Space Composer to commemorate JTQ’s 10th anniversary. This was awarded the D&AD Professional Award.
